Milan Design Week last year, top off the masculine, sophisticated look. Indeed, this was the effect designer and architect Roddy Murray was going for. It’s smart, it’s stylish, it’s got a bit of an urban feel about it. And a little bit of luxury, he muses. Introduced to the owner of the home- a young financier – via his property agent, Murray came on board the project from the very beginning. We came here together… he asked me if it had any potential. I could see that it did, says the designer, who saw past the flat’s boxy maze of rooms to what it could become. It was like layers..."
